MBPA / MFBA Survey Results Shared with US Congress

  • 83% of those surveyed do not support a government run healthcare public option
  • 77% of those surveyed do not think the new government healthcare plan should provide coverage for abortions
  • 85% do not support mandatory healthcare for individuals or pay a penalty
  • 86% do not support the business requirements of "pay or play" model
  • 55% of those responded, said they were unsure if they would pay the penalty or continue to offer current healthcare coverage if the government run public option were put in place.
  • 89% of those responding thought the federal government cannot provide adequate healthcare that will meet the needs of our nation with the given legislation.
