We provide business knowledge to members in critical ways to help our members stay competitive. Our members find value in knowing what other businesses are doing and we provide that information through our annual survey data in five key areas. We also provide exclusive advice from experts with white papers and statistics. The MBPA has over 30 workshops, digital webinars and events per year, plus more than 5 large statewide conference symposiums.

Facilitated Networking

There are four primary ways the MBPA networks your business through Facilitated Networking. Our monthly networking events and webinars, Facilitated Networking Packets and Blasts as well as Social Media and Forum are all ways we keep your business connected with others.

Legislative Influence

The MBPA has been a critical factor in many issues concerning Small Business. We were instrumental in the repeal of the Michigan Business Tax and the Item Pricing Law. Our focus changes as issues arise that affect business in Michigan and we fight to help do what is right for business in Michigan. Our lobbyists are very active in Lansing working with Legislators daily. We also have significant influence with lobbyists in Washington D.C. to support our business needs on the federal level.

MBPA Business Networking

The Michigan Business & Professional Association has created a new series of monthly networking events for 2012 to assist you in connecting with the right business contacts and building your customer base. This series will be a mix of morning, luncheon and evening networking events held at various business locations throughout Michigan that more than 100 local business people will attend.
